In Nepal After SEE Which subject to study

What are the subjects to be studied in Nepal after SEE?| Which subject to study after SEE exam? | NEB Update | Study In Nepal| Plus 2

It is said that SEE (formerly SLC) is the main gateway to the future for every student and their parents.  In fact, SEE is the Iron Gate, and it is the kind of education that students do that builds their future.  But now after SEE, what these students will do, what kind of subject they will do +2, is a matter of equal concern for the students and parents, in this regard, here is an attempt to give some advice and suggestions.

First of all, it is very important for those students to take short courses, also known as "Bridge Course", for higher studies and from SEE to +2.  This will help the students to go to +2 later.  Most of these students have about 3 months of free time and doing such bridge courses seems to be a good use of time and also a practice for +2.  Many students have already done bridge work.  Now there is talk that the results of the SEE exam will come in a few days.

Today's students seem to be very conscious about their career.  Now they can choose +2 according to their interest for the popular courses like Faculty of Science, Faculty of Management, Faculty of Humanities.  But it is also important to be prepared for the next high level exams such as engineering, medicine, etc.  Therefore, it is very important for the students to pay attention to the following things before proceeding after SSE.

 1.  The goal

Every student dreams of becoming something from an early age.  Most parents understand their dreams well.  Therefore, one of the most important tasks of parents is to know that if their children want to study medicine, they should be enrolled in +2 science and also in biology group.

 2.  What is the future of the course?

Nowadays, there are many doctors and engineers.  In Kathmandu alone, more than 45 engineering colleges and hospitals and nursing homes have been opened in the streets.  But do all students want to be doctors and engineers?  Giving this all a quick read, it seems we are pretty much in agreement that 30 to 40 percent of the students who have passed the SSE will want to pursue a new career in medicine, especially in the field of IT.

 3.  Capacity

It is equally important for any student to know whether or not he or she is proficient in the subject.  Because in some cases the college enrolls many students with enthusiasm.  However, those students are not able to study in the middle and are seen going to complete another course.  It is the responsibility of colleges and such institutions to take responsibility for this.  For this, apart from the entrance exam, he should also check the morale of the students.

 4.  Wrong concept

What some students think is to do an easy and cheap course, which requires less effort and can be passed easily, etc.  Some even say that the reason for choosing such a subject is that after completing this course, one can achieve great success in business.  That's why I chose that course?  This is a very wrong thinking and misconception.

 1.  Plus two

The subjects to be taught at Plus Two level are as follows.

 A.  Faculty of Science

Science is the subject that most students choose.  Only after completing this subject will they be able to do undergraduate courses like Doctor and Engineering.  Not only that, they can go to many other fields besides doctors and engineering.  Such as nursing, pilot, pharmacist etc.  On top of that, the government has also paved the way for many other related courses, which has also increased its craze.

For example, if a student is unable to study for a doctorate, other accredited courses such as B.Sc.  (Microbiology, Pharmacology, Medical Technology, Genetic Engineering, Biochemistry etc. courses are available without any hesitation. There is an unprecedented demand for manpower in the market. Similarly, there are many engineering courses available for students who are enrolled in physical groups.)  Such as civil, computer, mechanical etc.

 B.  Faculty of Management

Under this faculty, students acquire knowledge related to business, trade and writing.  Its specialty is that it can be read in topics such as hotel management, computer science, marketing, business math, etc.  Then they should have a sense of what can be a career for their future.

 C.  Faculty of Humanities

This topic is slightly different from the above.  These include culture, human resources, social education, dance, music, politics, social work, rural development, etc.

 2.  A level

This course is affiliated with the University of Cambridge in the UK.  Nowadays, most of the attention seems to be on it.  This is because the students will be able to study in many subjects under this course and they will also be able to get the subjects of their interest.  Another feature is that any student can take sociology along with physics.  That is, they can take any subject of any faculty as per their interest.

 3.  IB (International Baccalaureate)

Namely, it is a non-profit organization, established in 1968 in Geneva, Switzerland.  Its themes are slightly different.  It teaches intercultural studies, which is of great value in the international arena.

 4.  Education

This is a slightly different course, designed for secondary level students.  This course can be very useful for students who want to be teachers in the future.  This course is jointly opened by higher secondary schools.  For this, the Ministry of Education also conducts teacher training programs as per the need.

 5.  Forestry

If we look at the field of forestry in Nepal, it seems that foreigners understand more than Nepalis.  Even though millions of dollars have been invested in the forestry, it seems that people from abroad are coming here to do research due to the lack of qualifications of Nepalis.  Or seems to be working on forestry.  There are currently two educational institutions in Nepal that officially teach and issue accredited certificates in forestry - one in Hetanada and the other in Pokhara.  By obtaining this degree, you can get your employment in various forestry related projects brought by foreigners and consider that there is a dearth of skilled manpower in this field.

 6.  Hotel management

Nepal is making strides in terms of tourism.  For example, we are all aware that new big hotels and resorts are opening every 2-3 days for this.  However, there is a severe shortage of skilled manpower required for these hotels.  Colleges related to this subject are available in Nepal.  Natham (Nepal Academy or Tourism and Hospitality Management) is one such college where students can study. After obtaining this degree in this college where proficiency certificate level is taught, the students will understand for themselves.  What is its scope?

 7.  Sanskrit

You may be surprised to hear that while today's generation is moving towards technology, where did this Sanskrit thing come from?  How is it mentioned in the case of disappearance?  You may not believe your siblings, there are 17 universities related to Sanskrit in Germany alone.  In other words, just as the importance of this subject has decreased in Nepal, the same subject has reached the skies in countries outside Nepal.  In some foreign countries, this subject is taught and after it has been proved that some foreign languages have come from Sanskrit, huge investment has been made in it.  Research is being done on this subject with huge investment.

There is no doubt that all these researches will make Nepal their destination in the days to come.  Assuming that Nepal is the main source, it is almost certain that they will do the same in the future.  From this perspective, far-reaching opportunities can be explored by acquiring knowledge in this language.  There is a Nepal Sanskrit University in Nepal where all the studies related to Shastra and Sanskrit are done. Please consider this once.

 8.  Courses under CTEVT

The council was set up mainly to support domestic and small scale industries.  Recently, domestic businesses have flourished in Nepal.  In order to support such industries, especially for the poor and middle class families, such courses are officially taught by CTEVT.

It is natural for many students in our society, which is still dominated by poor and middle class families, to be confused about whether or not to study this subject.  But with foreign investment increasing in the country and the possibility of political stability, there is a strong possibility of big industries coming.  Some have even begun.

At that time, the opportunity to get self-employment according to the government's policy is given only by the qualified and efficient manpower in the country.  So doing this course is not in vain.

 9.  Polytechnic

As mentioned above, the polytechnic course run by CTEVT has the same scope in the future.  Currently, there are five polytechnic-related institutions in five development regions.  Courses ranging from general medicine knowledge to pharmacy etc. are conducted in it.  With the opening of medical colleges, clinics, nursing homes, etc. on a daily basis, this course is sure to play a small but costly role.  Not only the need for such manpower, it is almost certain to become inevitable.

In addition, there are a number of institutions that offer courses at various levels to obtain a computer degree.

What is noteworthy here is that before rushing into any subject in a hurry, it is necessary to take the right advice from an expert and understand how important that subject is and how much it will help in employment in the future.
